Its always nice to hear an artist you've never heard of before and be pleasantly surprised, its even nicer when you listen to some of the the other artists on the same record label and find that they are really good too.I don't know if I'm behind times or I've just missed these guys before but this Ep from Kidnap Kid titled "The Apocalypse Of John" is really up my street. In fact the whole roster on the Sheffield based Squelch and Clap Record label has really got me going. I've been listening to there soundcloud for well over an hour now and haven't come across a track I haven't enjoyed. It feels like theres a lot of diversity in the artists work with some funky and soulful beats as well as more tech and garage feel tracks too.
Enjoying this a lot and will being keeping a close on their future releases.
